Inspiration and Empowerment:
Participants will be inspired to embrace their bodies, celebrate diversity, and pursue their passions with confidence.
Skill Development:
Attendees will learn basic dance techniques, fostering creativity, self-expression, and physical activity.
Wellness Promotion:
Discuss the importance of mental and physical wellness, encouraging participants to prioritize self-care and positive body image.
Activities:
2 hours of dance activities and wellness discussions led by Akira
30-minute interactive Q&A where Akira will share her journey and students will gain insight into the world of professional dance and body positivity.
Photo op to create lasting memories of their experience!
About Akira Armstrong:
Akira is a renowned dancer, choreographer, and founder of Pretty Big Movement, a professional dance company composed of plus-size dancers. Akira’s mission is to challenge stereotypes and promote body positivity through dance. Her work has been featured in various media outlets, and she continues to inspire individuals worldwide. Akira is a former student of Aily Dance School, appeared in two Beyonce videos, and the group appeared on Season 10 of America’s Got Talent.
