District News: nationwide shortage of paper milk cartons....

Dear UCSD Families and Community,

We have been informed by our vendor, Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc., that there is a nationwide shortage of paper milk cartons that will impact all customers, including the Utica City School District, effective October 30, 2023.

Our vendor is seeking out alternative solutions, but we are working with our Nutritional Services team to ensure all students' nutritional needs are met. We will meet the nutritional needs of the students by offering  temporary beverage alternatives until the carton shortage is alleviated.

While our vendor anticipates this shortage could last into early 2024, we hope they find a workable solution that reduces that timeframe.

If you have any questions, please reach out to 315-792-2231 from our Nutritional Services Team for more information.

Thank you for your understanding.

Dr. Kathleen Davis

Acting Superintendent

Utica City School District
