On March 10th, Dr. Christopher Spence convened the first in a series of meetings with local religious leaders at the district’s administration building. Religious leaders from across Utica gathered to strengthen partnerships and receive updates on the district’s progress.
During the meeting, Dr. Spence shared his mission and vision for the district, highlighting several initiatives implemented this year. These include the Raider’s Extended Day learning program, which provides afterschool learning opportunities for over 800 students, and Utica GEMS - a weekly spotlight celebrating the achievements of our students, faculty, and staff.
Dr. Spence reaffirmed his commitment to collaboration, transparency, and student success, while faith leaders offered valuable insights on how to better support Utica’s youth. This meeting marks the beginning of ongoing discussions as we work together to build a stronger, united Utica.
