Utica City School District Superintendent Search Information
On June 5th, students in Proctor's Environmental Science Club planted two trees in front of Thomas R. Proctor High School with the help of certified arborist and Proctor alum Mike Mahanna.
The club raised funds for the trees by returning bottles and cans for deposits collected during its biweekly recycling pickups throughout the building. The trees, a Greenspire Linden and a Bloodgood Sycamore, join the Autumn Blaze Maple that the club planted last year. All three trees will grow to be magnificent shade trees that generations of students and community members will enjoy.
The Environmental Science Club hopes to continue this tradition of beautifying Proctor's campus and creating a diverse arboretum on the school grounds for years to come.
