Women in Manufacturing Day
Field Trip:
SUNY Poly/Danfoss (MACNY)
Eighty-two female students attended the Women in Manufacturing Day field trip at SUNY Poly. While there, students listened to MACNY (The Manufacturers Association of Central New York) Representatives, SUNY Poly President - Dr. Soboyejo, President and CEO of Griffiss Institute - Heather Hage, Danfoss Employee - Toni Ahi, and Process Technician at Wolfspeed - Sabah Haji about the importance of women in the manufacturing field.
Students also participated in a tour of the Danfoss facility which is known for building advanced components, systems and software using proven technologies to engineer tomorrow's cooling and heating solutions. Students were also able to experience SUNY Poly’s Additive Manufacturing Lab and Maker Space and partake in hands-on activities.
