Thomas R. Proctor High School hosted MACNY (The Manufacturers Association of Central New York) to promote their Real Life Rosies Program. All senior girls were invited to hear about this great career opportunity MACNY is offering with the support of MVCC and Working Solutions. The program has been established to train Proctor senior girls in a variety of skills that will help them grow professionally and offer opportunities for continuous development. Manufacturing offers a wide range of opportunities in a variety of processes, including safety, CNC Machining, hand tool usage, robotics, and lean manufacturing. Senior girls heard from keynote speaker and Utica alumnus, Sabah Haji, who works in the manufacturing industry at Wolfspeed, as well as MACNY representatives who spoke about how this training can lead to career opportunities upon graduation.
