On Tuesday, October 15, Donovan Middle School students took a field trip to Windy Hill Orchard, where they explored the benefits of eating locally grown food, learned about harvest cycles, and discovered the role of agriculture in supporting the food and restaurant industries, which is in alignment with the Family and Consumer Science agriculture module being implemented at the middle school level for career connected learning. The students enjoyed picking and tasting different apple varieties, sampling fresh cider, and even conquering a corn maze!
