Students at Watson Williams Elementary were treated to a literary adventure during their Culminating Assembly on March 28th, featuring a unique "Masked Reader" experience!
During this special event, five mystery readers disguised in inflatable costumes captivated students' imaginations as they read a page from a selected book. The interactive assembly challenged students to guess the identity behind each mask, combining the joy of reading with the thrill of mystery.
The celebration of literacy continued as nearly 200 Watson Williams students received their very own library cards through a partnership with the Utica Public Library. A representative from the library was on hand to distribute cards to students who signed up, opening doors to countless adventures through reading.
This initiative reflected the Utica City School District's commitment to fostering a lifelong love of learning and connecting students with valuable community resources.
