On Friday, November 15, SUPA students from Proctor attended an admission information session and a campus tour at Syracuse University!
SUPA stands for Syracuse University Project Advance offered to juniors and seniors at Proctor High School, who excel academically.
The courses offered give our students the opportunity to earn not just high school credits, but also SU credits. The tuition cost for these classes is entirely covered by the school district.
SUPA English and SUPA Sociology are two upper-level courses, currently offered at Proctor. The course instructors, Mrs. Mullen and Mrs. Pallas, work closely together and with SU to provide not only academic opportunities/challenges, but also campus experiences to our students.
The visit to the Syracuse University campus was a wonderful learning perspective for everyone involved! The day was especially appreciated by our senior students, as they are narrowing down their college choices. For our junior students, the day was an exciting start of their experience of discovering college spaces with the hope of making educated decisions about their future college choices!
