Proctor High School Art Club and Photography Club students had the opportunity to visit Wellin Museum of Art and Root Glen at Hamilton College this week. At Wellin, students were able to view the current exhibits and participate in engaging activities that promoted analyzing and understanding works of art. Mixed media art was a focus of the day and after drawing inspiration from their time spent viewing the art exhibits, students were invited to make their own mixed media piece. Proctor’s talented artists were given supplies and time to create a work of art focused on the theme of personal identity. Following the visit to Wellin students enjoyed a picnic lunch in Root Glen and enjoyed the educational gardens and walking trails. It was a fun filled day spent appreciating art and nature at the beautiful Hamilton College campus!
