MLK Elementary Staff Spotlight: Ms. Daisy Cruz
MLK Elementary School is proud to spotlight Ms. Daisy Cruz, a dedicated member of our Safe Schools team and a true Utica Gem!
Ms. Cruz works tirelessly to develop meaningful relationships with our King Kids, consistently inspiring and encouraging positivity throughout the school community.
Her natural ability to connect with students has made her an invaluable part of the MLK family, where she volunteers for family events, steps up whenever students and staff need assistance, and always offers a beautiful smile to brighten everyone's day.
Students across MLK Elementary can't say enough about the impact Ms. Cruz has on their daily lives. "She's a really nice person and what I love about her is she defends people. I feel like she's the only person I can trust to help when I have problems," shares one grateful student.
Others note how "she always makes me laugh when I'm sad" and that "when there's drama, Ms. Cruz is always there to stop it." Her dedication to creating a safe, supportive environment extends beyond her official duties, with students appreciating both her compassionate personality and occasional treats. As one student put it: "Every time I ask for help, she always helps me. I like her personality and when she gives me chips and cookies!"
