Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary students and staff welcomed community members and organizations to read a book to each classroom for Community Readers Day on Thursday, January 16th.
The readers read a picture book related to their jobs or organization and then shared with students
Students had a blast learning about Hannaford grocery store, rescuing animals, restoration projects in the city of Utica, bee keeping, working in a restaurant and using locally sourced food products, Utica's baseball team, etc.
Thank you to all of our community readers!
