Students from the Jefferson Elementary Kindness Club are putting compassion into action by crafting handmade blankets for Project Linus, an organization that provides comfort to children experiencing serious illness or trauma. 

These thoughtfully created blankets offer vulnerable children in our community not just physical warmth, but also emotional security during difficult times in their lives.

The dedicated club members proudly displayed their completed blankets in front of their winter-themed bulletin board, which features the inspiring message "Cool to be Kind."

Through this meaningful service project, these young Utica citizens are learning valuable lessons about empathy and community service while making a tangible difference in the lives of local children in need. UCSD is proud of these students for embodying our community values and demonstrating that kindness truly matters.
