The hallways of Hughes Elementary are blooming with gratitude as students participated in a heartwarming school-wide project to celebrate the things that make them feel fortunate.
Each student crafted a personalized shamrock featuring the prompt "I am lucky because," creating a vibrant display of appreciation and reflection. From colorful drawings to thoughtful messages, these shamrocks showcase what matters most to our youngest Raiders.
One by one, the shamrocks filled the bulletin board, transforming it into a garden of gratitude. Students shared touching sentiments about friends, family, teachers, and other special parts of their lives.
The collaborative display not only brightened the school hallway but also encouraged students to practice mindfulness and recognize the positive aspects of their daily lives. It was an important social-emotional learning opportunity that helped our Hughes Elementary community grow stronger together.
