Meet Mr. Spina, one of Hughes Elementary’s newest educators, making an immediate impact in his first year with the Utica City School District! As a dedicated fifth-grade teacher, Mr. Spina brings enthusiasm and a love for all subjects to his classroom, with a special passion for social studies.
Beyond the classroom, Mr. Spina plays a key role in the RED program, helping students explore Robotics and STEM both during the school day and in afterschool activities. Always ready to support students and colleagues, he is known for his willingness to lend a helping hand.
When he’s not teaching, Mr. Spina enjoys running, sports, and playing the drums. And if you step into his classroom, there’s no mistaking his love for the Buffalo Bills!
