Mr. Phillips-Haudenosaunee Presentation

Mr. Phillips, a representative of the Oneida Nation, delivered an enriching presentation to fourth-grade students at Columbus Elementary School. Focusing on the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, also known as the Iroquois Confederacy, Mr. Phillips provided in-depth information about the history, culture, and traditions of the Six Nations. The presentation fostered a deeper understanding of the Haudenosaunee's significant contributions to the region and their enduring legacy. Mr. Phillips was particularly impressed by the students' prior knowledge and insightful questions, demonstrating their engagement with the topic. This educational experience promoted cultural awareness and appreciation for Indigenous peoples.
