Jon Lehrer Dance Company visits RED Academy at Albany

We were so excited and honored to welcome Jon Lehrer and Cristiana  Cavallo, Associate Artistic Director and a Utica native, from JLDC-Jon Lehrer Dance Company!
 
Jon and Christiana came to our RED Academy on Thursday March 28th and preformed a fun, high energy workshop for our students that combined dance and play! All students were immensely excited and completely exhausted by the end of the workshop, wondering when can the dance company visit Albany School again!  
 
JLDC is a professional dance company from New York City. Thanks to the local dance community leader Nancy Long from Utica Dance, The Community Foundation awarded additional money to welcome JLDC to our schools and to extend their residency in the community. Cristiana Cavallo is a native. 
 
JLDC  will also be working with drama students at Donovan, and children at Thea Bowman, among other sites.
